Michigan State's Emotional Weekend

1. On Saturday night, Michigan State (3-0) not only defeated Notre Dame (1-2) on a national scale (being televised on ABC and ESPN2), but they did so with a brilliant call by MSU head coach, Mark Dantonio. The Spartans faked a field goal in overtime, which would have tied the game, and gambled on a trick play, called "Little Giants" according to Coach Dantonio. Aaron Bates (P) threw a 39 yard pass to Charlie Gantt (TE) for the winning touchdown in Spartan Stadium. Without a doubt, this will go down as one of Mark Dantonio's greatest victories.

I was scheduled to work that night but was "providentially" let go early and was able to watch the last three quarters of the game with my family. Despite it was close to midnight, that didn't stop my family from going nuts and screaming our lungs off when Aaron Bates threw the winning touchdown.

2. Instead of going home to celebrate with his family, Mark Dantonio spent the night in the hospital after undergoing surgery due to a mild heart attack. Dantonio reported to have chest pains around 12:30 am shortly after a post-game press conference. As of now, he will be off the side-lines indefinitely until further notice but is expected to make a full recovery. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mark Dantonio and the spartan nation.

3. Oh, Michigan State is now ranked in the AP Top 25 at #25. They have not been ranked since 2008. MSU's national ranking puts 6 Big Ten teams into the AP Top 25. SEC fans... watch out!! The Big Ten is on the move and we haven't even added Nebraska yet.

Procrastination

Procrastination has taken a hold of my life and I want it to stop. Whether it's homework, homework, homework, or homework, procrastination is the king of stopping me from getting stuff done (i.e. homework!).

Fall is here. This is a wonderful season, but it has brought back a multitude of responsibilities I did not have in the summer. Several weeks ago, I could procrastinate and not worry about the repercussions; this is not the case any more. I'm facing a full load of college classes during my senior year, working an ave. of 20 hours a week, and many other things which keep me busy.

If procrastination is slowly taking you down, know you're not alone. With that said, I should probably stop blogging and get to work. =)

I'm Back!

Considering it's almost been a year since my last blog, I figured it's time to get back into writing again. I'm sure many people feel blogging isn't their thing, but I believe everyone (including myself) has the ability to be a great blogger. It's time for me to get my feet wet again and do this more consistently. Since nothing is coming to me, I'll leave this blog as it is for now. I'll be back. :)
