A new chapter is about to begin...
Today is my last day of high school. I never thought how bitter-sweet this moment would be. I had always heard that high school would fly by but never, truly believed it... until now. Starting in January of 2011, I will have the opportunity to travel around the United States as a TeenPact Intern for the purpose of staffing multiple state classes and alumni events. This internship is much more than just staffing leadership classes; this is a dream and opportunity of a life time, as I will be serving God in an unbelievable environment with an unbelievable Intern Team. If you are unfamiliar with TeenPact Leadership Schools, visit their website: TeenPact.com It will be nice to take a break from homework, but I certainly will not be taking break from learning. I'm eagerly anticipated what God is going to do and what He's going to teach me during the next six months!

Charlie Crist does it again.
Charlie Crist is unbelievable... First he supports Obama's stimulus package, then he tries to cover up his actions, then he calls himself and true conservative and a Jeb Bush Republican, then 8 weeks later he switches to the Independent Party stating that both parties have good ideas, then most recently, he attacks conservatives and labels them radical. Crist might just be the best politician of the 21st Century. Floridians please Vote Marco Rubio as our next U.S. Senator!

Michigan State's Emotional Weekend
1. On Saturday night, Michigan State (3-0) not only defeated Notre Dame (1-2) on a national scale (being televised on ABC and ESPN2), but they did so with a brilliant call by MSU head coach, Mark Dantonio. The Spartans faked a field goal in overtime, which would have tied the game, and gambled on a trick play, called "Little Giants" according to Coach Dantonio. Aaron Bates (P) threw a 39 yard pass to Charlie Gantt (TE) for the winning touchdown in Spartan Stadium. Without a doubt, this will go down as one of Mark Dantonio's greatest victories.
I was scheduled to work that night but was "providentially" let go early and was able to watch the last three quarters of the game with my family. Despite it was close to midnight, that didn't stop my family from going nuts and screaming our lungs off when Aaron Bates threw the winning touchdown.
2. Instead of going home to celebrate with his family, Mark Dantonio spent the night in the hospital after undergoing surgery due to a mild heart attack. Dantonio reported to have chest pains around 12:30 am shortly after a post-game press conference. As of now, he will be off the side-lines indefinitely until further notice but is expected to make a full recovery. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mark Dantonio and the spartan nation.
3. Oh, Michigan State is now ranked in the AP Top 25 at #25. They have not been ranked since 2008. MSU's national ranking puts 6 Big Ten teams into the AP Top 25. SEC fans... watch out!! The Big Ten is on the move and we haven't even added Nebraska yet.

Procrastination
Procrastination has taken a hold of my life and I want it to stop. Whether it's homework, homework, homework, or homework, procrastination is the king of stopping me from getting stuff done (i.e. homework!).
Fall is here. This is a wonderful season, but it has brought back a multitude of responsibilities I did not have in the summer. Several weeks ago, I could procrastinate and not worry about the repercussions; this is not the case any more. I'm facing a full load of college classes during my senior year, working an ave. of 20 hours a week, and many other things which keep me busy.
If procrastination is slowly taking you down, know you're not alone. With that said, I should probably stop blogging and get to work. =)

I'm Back!
Considering it's almost been a year since my last blog, I figured it's time to get back into writing again. I'm sure many people feel blogging isn't their thing, but I believe everyone (including myself) has the ability to be a great blogger. It's time for me to get my feet wet again and do this more consistently. Since nothing is coming to me, I'll leave this blog as it is for now. I'll be back. :)

Wasted Time
I have been thinking a lot lately, and it has just hit me that I waste so much time every day. It's even sadder to think about how much time I waste every year. Now I probably don't know any of you personally, but I would bet that most of you struggle with this as well. I have come to realize that I can be doing so much more for the glory of God with my time; I just have to use it wiser. At the TeenPact - 2009 Florida State Class last April (http://teenpact.com/), I learned that the average American wastes 4-6 hours a day on mindless activity, which equals up to a whopping 77 wasted days a year!! (If you don't believe me you can calculate it yourself.) Now I highly doubt that most of you waste 6 hours a day on mindless activity, but it is something for you to think about. Even if you are wasting 2 hours a day...that still equals up to 30 wasted days a year! Once again, 30 wasted days a year!! I know that number seems pretty crazy, but it's true.
Alex and Brett Harris wrote a great book a couple years ago entitled, "Do Hard Things." In the book, they write, "When God’s Word tells us to 'make the most of our time’ it means: Squeeze every last ounce of growth and grace out of every second of every minute of every hour of every day!”
I suggest we take this challenge; we should try to make the "most" of our time of every second from now on. Wether you are in highschool, college, or out of college, I strongly encourage you to not waste your time, and I'm going to try to do the same!
Before I end, I want to leave you with this great passage from the Bible:
"Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men, but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.” – Ephesians 5:15-17
Thanks for letting me share my thoughts with you. I would love to hear some feedback if you don't mind.....trust me, you will not be wasting your time! ;)
